Mr. Sandifer, a principal of the Firm, has significant experience in the areas of commercial litigation, contract disputes, intellectual property litigation and alternative dispute resolution. He has substantial appellate experience and recently successfully argued before the Georgia Court of Appeals for reversal of a decision concerning the enforceability of non-solicitation agreements. See Waldeck v. Curtis 1000, Inc., 261 Ga. App. 590, 583 S.E.2d 266 (2003). Mr. Sandifer also routinely assists clients in litigation prevention by reviewing and drafting contractual documents and assessing particular business scenarios in the course of clients' day-to-day business dealings. His experience includes the following:

  • Successfully litigated and negotiated numerous restrictive covenant and trade secret matters on behalf of both employers and employees.
  • Represented automobile parts distributor in patent infringement and unfair competition action.
  • Achieved major victory in dismissal of multi-million dollar late fee class action for one of nation's largest cable television providers.
  • Successfully negotiated settlement on behalf of large cable television provider in business interference action against satellite television provider.

Mr. Sandifer graduated from Wake Forest University, cum laude, in 1989, before obtaining his J.D. from Wake Forest University in 1992. During law school, Mr. Sandifer served on the Moot Court Board and on the National Court Team. Mr. Sandifer practiced commercial litigation with Webb, Carlock, Copeland Semler & Stair, P.C. (n/k/a Carlock, Copeland, Semler & Stair, LLP) and Gerry, Friend & Sapronov, LLP (n/k/a Friend, Hudak & Harris, LLP) before starting Raley & Sandifer, P.C. Mr. Sandifer is a member of the American Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association (Litigation Section), and the State Bar of Georgia (Litigation and Intellectual Property Sections).
